During March we held the competition heats and travelled around the country with our sponsors and experienced so many exciting and innovative recipes along the way.

Judging

We were, unfortunately, unable to hold the South East Heat but the good news is we are putting plans in place to judge those recipes and we will still be crowning our 2020 winners. All of our chefs will be notified of the judging process.

The Prizes

We will not be crowning an overall winner this year however each of our category winners will receive a cheque to the value of £500 together with two tickets to the dinner which is now taking place on Wednesday 4th November.

The Categories

It was exciting to see such a mix of entries for this year's competition with both sandwiches and food-to-go pots entered across all the categories. In the sandwich category the entries really demonstrate how the market is evolving with some wonderful international influences and great flavour combinations. New for 2020, the food-to-go category has provided our entrants with a great opportunity to really get creative with an interesting mix of hot and cold entries.
