Initial Judging

Contestants will be invited to create an innovative sandwich or food to go product using the sponsors ingredient as the key element, together with any other ingredients of their choice. They will then be asked to submit written recipes together with a photograph of their creation.

The recipes will be judged anonymously by the sponsors and the top recipes chosen will progress to the next stage.

Judging criteria includes taste, presentation, texture, commercial viability and innovative use of the sponsors product.


Once selected, the semi-finalists recipes will be reviewed by the judging panel and category sponsor and the final five from each category will progress to the final.


At this stage, the final recipes will be made up for the taste test ahead of the online judging sessions.

The finalists will be invited to present online to the judging panel and invited BSA members, when a short presentation from each one will be shown explaining their creation and the idea behind it
